Meet the Team Behind Czechvignette.cz

Tolling experts since 2014. We don’t just sell vignettes—we drive the Czech roads, test the systems, and document everything ourselves.

Who We Are

We are a team of 50+ people. Our headquarters is in the Netherlands, with an additional office in Brussels, Belgium. But in reality? Our team is spread across Europe—and in some cases, beyond.

Our founders have more than 20 years of combined experience in European tolling. They started selling Czech vignette stickers back in 2014. When the Czech Republic switched to digital vignettes in 2021, we evolved with it.

Since those early days, we’ve launched more than 30 driver platforms across Europe.

Our translators live in the countries they translate for. And our guides? They come from real road trips. We’ve driven the roads, tested the systems, and documented everything ourselves. Our most recent Czech trip wrapped up on March 1st in Prague.

If we write about it, chances are we’ve been there.

Our Leadership

The experience driving our vision forward.

Mattijs Wijnmalen, team member at CzechVignette.cz

Mattijs Wijnmalen

CEO & Co-Founder

Mattijs co-founded the company with Freek back in 2014 (originally under the name Moonshots Online Marketing). The idea started with frustration. During a trip to visit his brother in Wiesbaden, it took him hours to figure out how to get the German green sticker required to drive into the city. The process was confusing and unclear.

Freek Jurg, team member at CzechVignette.cz

Freek Jurg

COO & Co-Founder

Freek launched the company with Mattijs in 2014. Before that, he ran several car data platforms—experience that now comes in handy as more countries link tolling to emissions and fuel type.As COO, Freek oversees compliance and regulations across all our platforms. If a toll rule changes somewhere in Europe, he’s usually the first to know.

We Don’t Just Research—We Go There

This is what sets us apart.

In late December 2025, we visited Prague to test the vignette vending machine at the SFDI building. In early 2026 (7–8 January), we drove across the Czech Republic, testing more machines, photographing toll gantries, crossing border checkpoints, and documenting sales points along the way.

We returned again on in early February 2026 to review newly added toll sections.

More trips are already planned. We do the same across Europe. In 2025 alone, Mattijs drove through Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, and France. Freek continues to make trips to Italy a couple of times a year—via Austria or Switzerland—and always stops by Slovenia to visit a friend.
When you read our guides, you’re getting advice from people who’ve actually been there. We’ve got the photos and videos to prove it.
